Traumatic Separatiou of Upper Femoral Epiphysis

Abstract
Although separation of the epiphyses at the wrist, elbow, ankle, and knee, is a common injury in childhood, a traumatic separation of the upper femoral epidhysis in young children is a lesion of considerable rarity.
In afive-year-old boy occurred the separation of the upper femoral epiphysis in the left hip and the unsuccessful manual reduction was followed by successful open reduction with K-wire internal fixation. The postoperative course was uneventful.
